APRIL’S SHOWER
April’s Shower begins with a group of people gathered for a wedding shower for April. At first, it seems to be a normal gathering for such an occasion but, as time goes on, secrets and stories begin to be revealed. Alex is a chef and a maid of honor at April’s wedding. She ultimately reveals her true feelings which ends up taking an effect on everybody at the shower.
ONE DOLLAR CURRY
An illegal alien preys on cultural ignorance for fun and profit in this satirical comedy from writer and director Vijay Singh. Nishan is a young man from India who loves Yamini and wants to marry her, but since she’s a Hindu and he’s a Sikh, her family forbids it. At wit’s end, Nishan travels to Paris, where he tries to get work, though he lacks the proper papers. Fixer a recent arrival from Jamaica, is sympathetic to Nishan’s problems and helps him set up his own business, a cheap curry stand. Unfortunately, Nishan is an atrocious cook, and his business is near the point of collapse when he meets Nathalie, who doesn’t know enough about Indian cuisine to realize how awful his food really is.

Leni takes Rafi to meet her family in Madrid. Leni’s family is Jewish. Rafi is Palestinian, in Spain since age 12. Before her father returns from work, Leni reveals Rafi’s origins. He accidentally drops a block of frozen soup out the flat window, probably killing a passerby. Leni initiates a cover-up and Rafi figures out the body is probably Leni’s father. The body disappears and without telling the rest of the family what they know, Leni and Rafi organize a search for dad. Mom is sure he’s having an affair. Leni’s belly-dancing sister kisses Rafi. Her brother grabs a rifle to shoot the Arab. Can anything be put right?

A “Way of the Cross” that recounts the heart of Palermo, a visionary fairy tale of today dressed in days of yore: a “Court des Miracles” full of little bosses, two-bit fences, pitiless killers, poets, clowns and petty poet thieves, paralytic pickpockets on a motor wheelchair wandering around making damage, poor souls starving and poisoned by life and fear, a beautiful and young widow who stubbornly wants to be Mother Courage, a true boss with a tired and unhappy look and many many others that stage a 24 hour kermis, from one night to another, among small and vast aggressions, band music and lights that announce a religious feast. The whole is recounted through the stories of the protagonists.

Based on a famous radio-serial in Estonia. The announcers who played double roles – man and woman, in the radio, play them as well in the movie.
BRIDE AND PREJUDICE - FUORI CONCORSO
A Bollywood-style update of Jane Austen’s classic tale. Mrs.Bakshi is eager to find suitable husbands for her four unmarried daughters. When the rich single gentlemen Balraj and Darcy come to visit, the Bakshis have high hopes, though circumstance and boorish opinions threaten to get in the way of romance.

Shoemaker Tuur is celebrating his wedding jubilee with his wife Emma. Although the whole family and village is happy to celebrate with them, Tuur doesn’t feel like celebrating. The next morning after the party Emma finds out that Tuur has left. It soon turns out Tuur is at his sister Josées house. His other sister Gerda is mad when she finds out he’s with Josée. The two sisters don’t get along at all, but Emma refuses to go and get Tuur. So Tuur ends up staying with his sister and her singing girlfriend Odette.
