Etienne, an often out of work but endearing actor, runs a theatre workshop in a prison, where he brings together an unlikely troupe of prisoners to stage Samuel Beckett’s famous play “Waiting for Godot”. When he is allowed to take the convicts on a tour outside of prison, Etienne finally has the chance to thrive. Each date is a new success and a unique relationship grows between this ad hoc group of actors and their director. But soon comes the final performance in Paris. Will their last night together be the biggest hit of them all?

On a hot summer night in Paris, Félix meets a young woman, Alma, and falls in love. The next morning, Alma hops on a train to join her family in southern France.

Félix, determined to follow his soulmate, embarks on a carpool ride with his best friend Chérif and their reluctant driver Edouard. When the car breaks down upon arrival, things turn sour: Alma doesn’t seem too pleased by this unexpected visit.

Kosovo is on the verge of war. Dodona, a small theatre in Pristina, is the last public institution to be closed. The four protagonists of the play “The Flying Circus” get invited to perform in a theatre festival in Albania. They have no travel documents to cross the border. Despite the temptation, initially they decide not to go. But then one of them hears on the news that Michael Palin of the Monty Python crew will be filming in Albania during the festival days. They cannot resist the idea that they might get to meet their idol. The only way to get to Albania is by illegally crossing the border of Montenegro and Albania, which comes with a great risk.
