With a mere 12% of its students passing the Baccalauréat, the Lycée Jules Ferry is the worst high school in France. Even the best teachers have failed to turn things around. Recruiting a new team is the last chance to save the establishment, a rather unusual team: the worst pupils will be taught by the worst teachers. This novel approach may annoy the parents, but rapidly charms the students.

“If you will pass all your exams with full marks, Dad will offer you a dream vacation.” This is the promise that Checco does to his son Nicholas. So far so good, the problem is that Checco, vacuum cleaner’s salesman in crisis with both his business and his wife, cannot even afford to offer the child one day at the beach. However, when Nicholas gets the perfect school report, the promise must be kept.
