Ezio Greggio, actor, screenwriter, director, producer
engaged in cinema for over 30 years.

He has also worked in international productions as the author, director and producer of the film The Silence of the Hams (1993) and The Good Bad Guy (1997) and as an actor in the films Dracula: Dead and Loving It (1995) by Mel Brooks and 2001. - A Space Travesty (2000) by Allan Goldstein, with Leslie Nielsen. In 1999 he produced, wrote and directed the comedy Unscrewed, starring alongside the great Mel Brooks.

After years of Ezio Greggio's dramatic turning point in Il papa di Giovanna, a film by Pupi Avati in competition at the 2008 Venice Film Festival, which was received with warm applause from both critics and audiences. For this role he has in fact won many prestigious film awards: the Silver Ribbon of the Union of Italian Cinema Journalists; the Golden Globe of the Foreign Press Association in Italy; the Ennio Flaiano Prize; the Taormina Film Festival Award.

In 2011 with his film BoxOffice 3D, the first Italian film in 3D, he opened the Venice Film Festival and was the Italian film with the highest box office taking part in the review.

Ezio Greggio also on TV was the protagonist of great successes such as Drive in, the most popular and innovative variety of all the 80s. In 1984 with Drive In also arrives the first of the 26 Telegatti that he has collected in his career. Since 1988 he has been the historical presenter of Striscia la Notizie, the satirical TG with which Greggio "embodies the spirit of the program better than anyone else" (Aldo Grasso).

And then TV films such as the 1950s and 1960s but also Benedetti dal Signore (2003), which in 2004 won the Telegatto for best short fiction. And then O la va or la spacca (2004).

Since 2001 Ezio Greggio has been president and organizer of the Monte-Carlo Film Festival “de la Comédie”, the only international film festival in the world entirely dedicated to comedy.

As an author he has written 5 highly successful books "In una certain manieeera", "Soon it's late!", "Chi ne fut-fut", "Is it him or is it not him?", "And up and down and Trik and Trak ". With the royalties of the books he built "the Ezio Greggio association for the help of premature babies", now internationally based in Monaco with which - in collaboration with the "Un calcio al NEED" Association and the "Nazionale Magistrati "- in ten years of activity it has donated equipment to neonatal centers to over 70 Italian hospitals including Genoa, Turin, Biella, Milan, Cremona, Pescara, Novara, Olbia, L'Aquila, Bari, Messina, Reggio Calabria, Palermo, Monza, Pavia, Foggia, Avellino, Isernia, Brescia and others. Donations include transport incubators that have helped save over 10,000 premature babies in twenty years. In December 2005 he was awarded "Neonatologist ad Honorem" by the Italian Society of Neonatology.

Almost 40 films for cinema and TV: from Yuppies to Vacanze di Natale 90, from Unhappy and Happy to Svitati, from Un Maresiallo in Gondola to Box Office 3D, Ezio has made comedy his favorite genre.
